Cincinnati rental market remains hot
The Cincinnati Business Courier (subscription required) is reporting that Cincinnati is continuing its hot streak as one of the most desirable rental markets in the nation.
The Queen City is the fourth-most-coveted market for apartment renters in the U.S., RentCafe’s November rental activity report found, marking the sixth month in a row Cincinnati has been among the top 10 cities that are attractive to renters. That’s four positions up from last month, when Cincinnati was the eighth-hottest rental market in the U.S.
The draw and competition for apartments in Cincinnati comes as the region only added 0.3% rental stock between January and March 2023 and completes multiple office conversion projects to bring more housing online to meet demand. There was a 34% increase in viewings for apartment units in Cincinnati during the month of November, RentCafe found – but an 11% drop in the number of listings as the supply tightened.
